Kuniko Maeda is a Japanese artist based in London, who works mainly with paper, leather and textiles to create handmade jewellery, artworks, and installations for public and private space. She specialises in sustainable textile design and incorporates Japanese traditional techniques and digital technology to explore the potential in paper based materials and their unique properties. All products are digitally designed and hand crafted.
She derives her inspiration from our daily surroundings and everyday objects, which tend to be overlooked and forgotten in a hectic urban life.
